San Diego: Don’t Mess with Enterprise Zones

Screen-shot-2014-03-18-at-3.43.47-PM1Yesterday, Councilmembers Kevin Faulconer and Mark Kersey spoke out against a proposal to roll back a program that utilizes business growth and hiring economically disadvantaged Californians. The San Diego Regional Enterprise Zone has a 15-year business tax credit program for portions of the City of San Diego, significant portions of the City of Chula Vista and the City of National City. Businesses within this area receive substantial tax breaks, and other incentives, for hiring low income individuals. Wash reusable Grocery Bags, it could save your life

As the bags are repeatedly exposed to raw meat and vegetables, they often contain potentially harmful bacteria.

Gregory Landfill: It is time we listened
