Screen-shot-2014-03-18-at-3.43.47-PMThe most delightful thing that has happened in the last two weeks, while working here in the desert tower watching for eagles, is the fledging of two Say’s phoebes. They nested under the carport in the corner of two metal channel beams. I unintentionally scared them and, I believe, one flew for the first time as a result.
