The ECOreport radio interview with Ross Muirhead, of the Elphinstone Logging Focus,  about 500-year-old Douglas Fir in a cutblock: 98 ‘Old Vets’ on Mount Elphinstone

In addition to interviewing Ross Muirhead, of the Elphinstone Logging Focus, I also read out emailed comments from B.C.’s Ministry of Forests and clippings from the Sechelt First Nation

PS from March 7, 2016: I n response to my question about the fate of those Old Vets, I was told “The Elphinstone Old-Growth Doug Firs are still standing, however BCTS has a 2016-2017 block planned right in the area.”
